Exam Recognition
Cambridge English exams are accepted by over 20,000 universities, employers and governments around the world – and more organisations are added to the database every day.
These exams open doors to higher education, improve employment opportunities, and because they are globally recognised, can increase learners’ choices for study or work.
The information within this database is updated frequently, but the entry and proficiency requirements of individual institutions, organisations and departments may vary. It is important that you contact an individual organisation directly for more detailed information on their specific requirements.
Student Admissions
Not only universities abroad, but also many universities and universities of applied sciences in Austria require their students to have proof of their language skills, such as a Cambridge certificate at a certain level, in order to be accepted.
Even if for many universities a B2-certificate in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is sufficient, most tertiary institutions require their students to prove they are at level C1 (Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) or Cambridge English: Business higher (BEC higher).
